Since its opening in 1957, the 6730-yard Willow Oaks golf course has been recognized as one of Virginia’s superior layouts.  W.F. Gordon and Son designed the par- 72 course to take advantage of its location beside the scenic James River.  Bermuda grass tees and a continuous cart path make the course well-suited to remain open year-round for walkers and riders alike.  Small wonder the State Open of Virginia has been played here fifteen times. 

Our practice facility is one of the finest anywhere, with terraced tees, target greens, putting greens, and stout carts filled with an endless supply of complimentary practice balls.  The instructional program is outstanding, with a staff of PGA professionals on hand.  The pros are also there to organize club tournaments of all descriptions, and to handle the full service golf shop, including custom fitting of clubs.  The latest golfing apparel at competitive prices, tempts style-conscious members to the shop’s racks and shelves.
